When I come into Milton I look forward to visiting Brunello's. This visit wasn't the best experience, now the food was great,but the service sucked. We waiting at least 1/2 hr for someone to come to take our drink order. The appetizers came within an hour, but the main course wasn't served for approx 2 hrs. I realize they were busy, but there was no attention what-so-ever from any of the wait staff. A few years back this little restaurent had the best waiters & the place was fun.......(NOT ANY MORE) Overall, the food was great, but they need to improve service & staff in order to bring the overall review back up to a 10...
Service was rude and unfriendly. On three different occasions, the server came to the table, took my husband's drink order, came back with his drink, dropped off menus and did not ask me if I wanted a drink?!? The apps were good enough, but the pasta I had contained the same vegetable medley sprinkled on the squid app(leeks, sundried tomato & capers dominated everything). We requested a suggestion for a "cabernet" from the list, and when it got to the table it tasted 'off'. We assumed it would sit for a few mintues and maybe mellow out, until we read the label.....85% Malbec & Merlot and 15% Cabernet. When we returned the wine we explained that we asked for Cab and got this horrible grape, and of course we got attitude. See for yourself if you go. They don't even know the basics about wine. If the label says 15% cabernet blend, you can't put on the menu that you are serving a cabernet! The dessert I must admit was pretty good, the tiramisu in particular. After the bill came, I checked to see if they would charge for the two bottles of wine, which they didn't, but there was a $5.00 charge for a bottle of EVIAN water that was on the table and poured for us without even asking if we wanted it. We consistently were disapponted by this rude server, who we have come to find out is the owner's wife. Not someone who enjoys her job, that is evident. Last but not least they don't take debit cards. How's that for an embarassing transaction? Wouldnt' go back if it were free. It was $250 for four of us including tip. I would have expected the quality of what we received to come to maybe $100.00.
