I have eaten at Big Marco's for a few businesses lunches and have had a great meal with wonderful service each time. They are friendly and accommodating with any menu changes we may have.
I can't remember who in our group recommended eating here, but they may be voted out of the group. Most of our group ordered panzerottis, which were large and largely unedible. One of the group ordered vegetarian and recieved almost nothing but meat. I had wings, which everone tried because they were the only tasty part of the meal. The server was a 20 something who appeared to want to be anywhere but serving us. She mixed up 4 orders as well. She did push the Sunday beer specials quite well though, which were the only reasonably priced item. Will not be returning.
This was my third visit here and my wife's first and definitely last time we bother coming here.
The two times before the food was okay, but certainly nothing special. This time it was awful. I opted for the San Marco pizza, thinking that if I stuck to something this place is supposed to do well instead of opting for very mediocre pasta dishes, I'd be better off. Wrong! The pizza was overdone with dried out pieces of chicken. My wife's shrimp and scallop pasta dish was pitiful. Overdone pasta and only a minimal amount of seafood. Both meals came with house salad, which looked liked a bagged salad, drowning in dressing.
The server was pleasant enough when we actually saw her. I guess the word is out about how lousy the place is because there was hardly anyone there. A sombre vibe in the place for sure.
I've learned my lesson -- we'll stick to Cafe Amore down the road when we feel like Italian!
