This was our first visit to Mattinas. The service was excellent. The calamari was chewy, almost like the oil wasn't hot enough when it went in. My husband said the seak was average and the stuffed chicken was average a little dry. The sides were perfectly cooked, not too hard, not too soft and very tasty. Dessert was fantastic.

I ordered the Risotto Primavera, which was very good although a tiny bit dry and the Rib Eye had excellent flavour was not cooked to order. We ordered Med Rare and it came Med - Med Well.
House wine which was standard, same with the coffee and tea. Home made Tiramisu was very good.
Service was very friendly, professional and the chef circulated througout the dining room talking with guests and making sure everything was good.

Lets face it ,its hard to find those places were they actually care about you and your meal. It's obvious these people take pride in their product. the Flavors and the pesentation are excellent, not to fancy but just right.great atmosphere, music and to top it off home-made desserts, what a treat, not a larocca.. make a reservation they are small and from what the owner says georgetown eats on Fridays and Saturdays.

Food is always wonderful, the owner/chef always visits the table to discuss the meal - very great service. We go at least 8 times a year. Make a reservation or you may not get a table - small restaurant.
