I have visited many Chinese style restaurants in Oshawa and Whitby and I have to say that I was not expecting this degree of quality and freshness from a fast food place. I would have never ordered from here because I always like to take a look at the menu before I get delivery (which I could not find online) but because of location I decided to give it a try, I mean it's only $30-40 after taxes for their specials so no big deal. When I got my first delivery I was shocked of how much food their was and how tasty it was. Not too greasy, spiced and prepped perfectly, warm, timely, and friendly service. For the price, and for how good the food is, I have no idea what these other reviews are talking about, it's most likely the competition. Lire plus

We have been coming here for several years now and just can't stay away. It's the service and staff that make it for us! The food is not fancy, just reliable and good. Haven't been here for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find that they have redecorated. Replaced a number of tables with booths and that makes it much nicer inside. Food is great. Lots of variety. Excellent prices. The one thing about this place that annoys me is that they never bring your bill to the table -- I always have to go to the cash to find out how much the bill is and pay. The Shanghai Kitchen Restaurant in Whitby is now under new management and quality seems to be their number one priority. The food is very fresh and tasty. The restaurant is more a takeaway/delivery place but the prices and staff are awesome. I would recommend giving the Shanghai Kitchen a try.
