I had been to this location of Jack Astor's in the past, but I haven't been in a while. I was thoroughly impressed with this place! We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. Our server came out right away and gave us our menus. She was kind and helpful when we were making our meal selections. I chose the honey garlic chicken fingers with sweet potato fries. They were very delicious! The chicken fingers came with two types of dips, and the sweet potato fries came in a small dish which was very convenient. I had driven by this downtown georgetown pub many times without even noticing it was there, so when a friend suggested we go in for a few beers, I was surprised that I hadn't heard of this place before! The beer list was mostly new to my eyes. They offer a huge selection of local microbreweries, which are surprisingly delicious! We ordered the fish and chips as we sipped on beer that had been brewed no more than 40 km from where we were sitting. The food took a bit of time, but this is definitely no fast food restaurant.... The fish, which we were told was freshly beer battered in the kitchen, was the best we'd ever tried. This would not be my last visit. After coming in for the past year, I've noticed that this pub is at times understaffed, service can be delayed due to volume, but this is also a place to come and take your time. Don't come in expecting to have a quick meal in time to make a movie...This pub was created for people to come in and forget about the hustle bustle of their day to day lives! Lire plus

I've been coming here for years having lived only 3 minutes away. This is a true diamond in the rough. Not a fancy place by far but the chicken wings are the best in town. Go on there mon or tues .40 cent wing night's and you will be pleased. Order them grilled. Great place to watch a leaf game and drink a pitcher of beer with wings. Lire plus

This is a college bar and like most people if you want to have a few beers and great wings this is the place to go. We ordered their TEAM COMBO special which included 20 wings, 4 potato jackets, 6 mozzarella sticks and fries plus a pitcher of draft beer. Having seen the sign on the corner of Upper Middle Rd and Sixth Line we took a chance and dropped in. It was like a small jewel of a Pub in a strip plaza. Clean, New, great staff and tried the wings and met the Chef who brought them to our table personally. He created the outstanding Menu and the wings were really, really good. Can't wait to go back! Historic building that is supposedly haunted, real pub feel, good vibe, friendly servers. Has a large and really cool cobble stone court yard patio that feels like you're sitting in the 1800's. I don't eat here alot but the food is good, wings, nachos and standard pub fare. The owners Marco and Angelo are class acts and always take the time to personally welcome regular customers back. Its kinda like Cheers because they always know your name and they are always glad you came. I was in Shakey's a year ago and it has completely changed, I visited recently with some girlfriends and we had a fantastic meal. The owner has renovated the entire place to give it a 2010 pub look and has still kept the theme of a sports bar. Good job on the reno's, the menu looks great with some of the typical sports pub food such as nachos, hamburgers and wings. However the rest of the menu is quite amazing, from my understanding the waitress mentioned that Chris is a new addition to the staff and is the brother of the owner. He actually is coming from fine dining and is now helping run the kitchen. I will be back again and this time were bringing our husbands. Lire plus
