We recently had Blackrock Construction renovate our kitchen bathroom. It turned out beautiful! Thank you Ryan! We were very pleased with the workmanship and time frame in which it was completed. The professionalism that Ryan and his team showed was remarkable. He and his team were reliable, respectful, trustworthy, clean, efficient and did an amazing job. The project started on the date initially planned, and ended ahead of schedule. During that time, he even managed to squeeze in some additional work (organizing our garage). Although my project was not a big job, Ryan treated it with the same professionalism as though it was a large contract. He and his crew rebuilt my deck at a busy time in the summer season and the job was done quickly, expertly and on budget. Ryan kept me informed when there were rain delays so I did not need to be calling to track down what was happening. I really appreciated this. We recently hired Blackrock Construction to develop the bathroom and complete the wood trim in our basement. Ryan is very pleasant to work with and was very helpful every step of the planning process and execution of construction. Every contractor that entered our house was very professional and kept the mess to a minimum. Which was important to us since the remainder of the basement was already developed. We recently hired Ryan and his crew to complete our basement development. Everything from framing to the very last finishing details. Blackrock was recommended to me by a co-worked who was impressed by Ryan's honesty & quality of work. I spoke to Ryan on a Thursday and by Friday evening he had been out to inspect the site for my deck and provided a quote. I had a design in mind and Ryan helped me to perfect it. My project was done on time and was the exact amount I was quoted. I have since recommended Blackrock to another co-worked who had her deck replaced and is also incredibly happy with the work. We needed a fence built in a hurry and BlackRock did an excellent job for us, coming over immediately to measure & do up an estimate (on a Saturday!) We had the quote by that night, instructions on who to call for line locates and work started immediately after the locates were done. After trying to contact and hire a reno contractor, I finally came across Ryan and Blackrock. He was the first to actually answer my voice mail. We had Ryan do a complete reno on our basement and the end result was excellent. There were two items that I was surprised about: one was the high standard of work that Ryan has and the high standards expected of his contractors. I am very happy to say that every contractor that came into our house was exceedingly professional and did an excellent job. I recently moved to Airdire and the house I purchased needed a bathroom in the basement to be finished as well as a set of stairs and new railings coming off the back deck in order to gain access to the yard. Being new to the area I had no idea who to call to get the job done, and on top of it all I had a short time frame for completion. Lucky for me I found Ryan and after our first meeting I knew he would be a good guy to work with. Ryan not only got all the work done in my short time frame, but he made sure the work done was to excellent quality. He was on top of everything and I didn't have to worry about a thing. His crew were all wonderful and very friendly, which is a nice bonus when they are spending so much time in your home. I recently got a new Azek deck built by Blackrock. We had a few quotes from other contractors but decided to go with Blackrock since he gave us the most reasonable quote. I was a little nervous at the beginning, wondering why the quote is lower compared to others, but still decided to go ahead since the price difference was quite big with the Azek material we wanted. However, my worries were quickly gone as soon as we saw the base of the deck built. Already, we saw he did a great job and that you could see the craftsmanship and experience in his work. My neighbour even complimented and this was just the beginning stage! Although we had a delay in getting our deck built (due to shipment discrepancies and not Blackrock's fault at all), he constantly updated us regarding the schedule. I am a perfectionist and very detail oriented, so throughout the process, I asked many questions via phone calls and emails, and they were all responded to. When our deck was near the completion stage, he made sure that everything looked right, he, himself is a perfectionist. Some of the railings were a little tilted so he made the railing guys come back to fix it straight. This shows, that he is not one of those contractor type that "just gets the job done and leaves". He takes pride in his work and it shows. EVERYONE who has come over to check out our new deck, says it looks GREAT!(check out the grey deck with glass railings and red patio set on Blackrock's website) I will definitely recommend Blackrock to my family and friends and also look at them when I get my basement developed. We chose Black Rock Construction & Renovations for many reasons. First, after all the quotes came in, Black Rock was not only the best price but also the best time frame. Second, he listened to what we wanted and gave us great suggestions. Others were telling me it was impossible. Black Rock never did that once. Third, all the trades were very professional and dedicated to completing our basement. Fourth, we were always consultated on the stages of our basement development. Fifth, I wanted the wet bar, fireplace, carpet, tile, light fixtures, paint, baseboards and doors all to match my main floor and it does perfectly. I had Blackrock Construction complete a flooring renovation in my condo. All carpeting and lino was ripped out and replaced with laminate and tile. I can’t say enough about their workmanship, attention to detail and the overall quality of their work. The quote was ‘bang on’ with no additional costs incurred. They completed the job in the time frame suggested and always kept me informed on what each day would bring and what I might need to do to prepare for any disruption that could happen with not being able to use the bathroom or kitchen while the work was in progress. As I was at home most of the time the work was being done I never felt ‘in the way’ at all. Before leaving at the end of the day, they ensured that all tools and equipment were safely put away and that a proper clean-up was completed.
